Although the 2011 trillium show season has come to a close, there are still ribbon presentations to be awarded for end of year division placings. The Central East Trillium Banquet will be hosted once again at the Ajax Convention Centre, on Saturday, October 15th, 2011.

Congratulations to all Hilltoppers who qualified for the Trillium Championships hosted at Palgrave from September 8th - 11th. The show was a great sucsess, as all riders returned home with ribbons. A special thanks goes out to all those who came out and supported the team!

This Bluestar schooling show will be the last of their schooling series, as we conclude the show season for 2011. All year end division champions will be announced and awarded their prizes (accumulated from all three Bluestar Schooling Shows). The deadline for entries is Tuesday, August 30th.

Bluestar Farm hosts their second 2011 hunter/jumper bronze show. This show is the second out of three schooling level horse shows hosted by Bluestar, so points are accumulating for those who compete in this bronze series.

With our first week of summer camp only days away, we would like to notify all those interested in attending the July or August sessions, that we still have a few opens spots for any last minute campers. Our summer camp is a great opportunity for new riders, or current Hilltop students to spend full days up at the barn learning, playing games, and riding a variety of different horses.

Pickering Horse Centre will be hosting a schooling show on Sunday, May 22nd. This horse show is a fantastic opportunity for new horse and rider pairs to prepare for upcoming trillium shows, or for those of us who are new to the show ring. The Pickering schooling show will also be a perfect preparation show for those interested in the bluestar series, or those looking forward to Palgrave at the end of this month. Sign up is availible on the board by the lockers, but enter soon, as the entries must be sent in ASAP.

The annual Everything Equine Expo and Trade Show for 2011 will be held at Elgin Park in Uxbridge on Saturday May 14th. This year, Hilltop will be one of the 70 + vendors featured on the show grounds, so come out and enjoy a day filled with live riding demontrations, booth shopping and plenty of horsey activities to keep you busy throughout the day. Make sure to sign up with your favorite horse for the March In-House Schooling Show. Riders MUST sign up as soon as possible, as we do not want to canel another one of our schooling shows. This is a great opportunity to smooth out any rough areas in your ride so you can confidently step in to the show ring prepared. Take advantage of these horseshows, Hilltoppers!

This is a reminder to all Hilltop drivers, that the grass areas on the property are NOT to be driven across, especially at this time of year, as the ground is very wet and it is ruining our landscape!

Riders who wish to school their horses off property for upcoming shows of the season may do so this Sunday. Each horse will be $185 (includes trailer and coaching). Two seperate groups of up to six horses in each will be taught seperatly, one at 1:00 PM and a 3:00 PM ride. Please sign up on the board ASAP if going, but please note, NO CANCELLATIONS.
